Databases
Connect PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB or SQLite. Browse tables, page through rows, ask Weaver about them. Dataweaver only reads, it never changes a database.
Connect
Press + Add a file in the box where you type, then Connect a database. Choose your database type. Type the details the person who runs the database gave you: the address, the user name, the password, and the database name. Press Connect.
A SQLite file (.db, .sqlite) does not need this. Open it like any other file.
Browse
The database appears in the sidebar with its tables. Select a table and it opens in its own tab. Page through it with First, Previous, Next and Last, choose 100, 500 or 1,000 rows a page, or jump straight to a row number. Filters sit in the bar at the top.
Ask
Weaver looks at the table names and columns, works out what to fetch, and shows you the result. It tells you which tables it used, and each number it works out links to the rows behind it.
Safety
Your database password is kept on your computer. It is not sent to us.
Next time
Saved databases reconnect on their own when you open the app. If a password stopped working, the connection form opens with everything filled in except the password. You can also ask Weaver to reconnect a database.
